From the clay-limestone slopes of the Côte des Bar, Pierre Brocard L'Égarée Haut Frion 2022 blends Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Barrel-aged, this Brut Nature reveals pear, almond and caramel. Its lively, mineral palate finishes with citrus. Ideal with shellfish through 2030.
A family estate rooted in Celles-sur-Ource, where five generations of winemakers have cultivated the art of champagne with patience and respect for the terroir.
- Terroir: Portlandian limestone soils of the Côte des Bar, from which Chardonnay and Pinot Noir draw their distinctive minerality.
- Winemaking: Biodynamic methods, oak-barrel aging and zero dosage for champagnes of genuine purity.
Tasting notes for Pierre Brocard L'Égarée Haut Frion 2022
To the eye – A golden hue with pale highlights and a silky clarity, like a veil of light over limestone.
On the nose – First the freshness of Williams pear, then light caramel and browned butter, followed by roasted almond and a saline, almost iodine-like touch recalling the winds of the Côte des Bar.
On the palate – A rich, almost oily texture supported by lively acidity and chalky minerality; the finely etched finish lets delicate bitter notes and a hint of citrus—yuzu and citron—linger.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a wide-bowled champagne glass to release its complex aromas.
