A. Bergère Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut, born from the chalky limestone soils of the Grand Cru vineyards of the Côte des Blancs. This non-vintage Chardonnay, aged 20% in barrels, reveals notes of stone fruits and minerals. A lively, silky and precise palate. Pairings: oysters or fish. To be enjoyed now or within 3 to 5 years.
A family house rooted in the Côte des Blancs since 1848, A. Bergère perpetuates a viticultural heritage where precision and respect for the terroir guide every cuvée.
- Terroir : Grand Cru vineyards of Avize, Oger, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Cramant, on chalky limestone soils, the signature of a chalky minerality and taut elegance.
- Vinification : Parcel-specific and sparing, combining French oak barrels and lees aging to reveal the purity of the Chardonnay.
Tasting notes for the Champagne A. Bergère Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut
To the eye – Pale gold robe with green highlights, of a silky clarity and a fine, persistent effervescence.
On the nose – Aromas of white peach and fresh almond intertwine with notes of toasted brioche and flint, lifted by a discreet saline touch.
On the palate – An ample and vibrant texture, carried by a precise acidity and a chalky minerality, leading to a long, saline finish where freshness and complexity intertwine.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a narrow Champagne flute to preserve the tension and aromas.
Non-vintage
A harmonious blend of several years, this cuvée embodies the balance and consistency of the Bergère style, where the freshness of 2019 dialogues with the maturity of the reserve wines.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed now or cellared for 3 to 5 years in a cool, dark place, away from vibrations.
