Appellation d'origine contrôlée, an exceptional Margaux
Wines from Château Bel Air Marquis d'Aligre: buy at the best price!
Château Bel Air Marquis d'Aligre was not included in the 1855 classification because it did not sell its wines to the Bordeaux trade, whose brokers were tasked with drawing up the famous classification of Médoc wines. It was only included in the 1932 crus bourgeois classification, which recognised 6 exceptional crus (including, for example, Château Poujeaux (Moulis)). Jean-Pierre Boyer has owned Château Bel Air Marquis d'Aligre since 1950. This estate covers 13 hectares, on light soils capable of imparting great elegance to its wines. Its vineyard, which adjoins that of Château Margaux, is composed of 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot.
