All wines from the Montagny appellation in Burgundy
The Montagny appellation, located in the Côte Chalonnaise in Burgundy, is exclusively dedicated to white wines made from Chardonnay. Covering approximately 350 hectares across the communes of Montagny-lès-Buxy, Buxy, Saint-Vallerin and Jully-lès-Buxy, it boasts over 200 hectares classified as Premiers Crus, representing more than half of its total area. With 54 Premier Cru climats, such as Les Vignes Longues or Les Coères, the appellation benefits from well-drained clay-limestone soils and south-easterly exposures, producing elegant, mineral white wines with aromas of citrus, white flowers and sometimes hazelnut. Montagny Premiers Crus offer complexity and aging potential, while village cuvées appeal with their freshness and accessibility.
