Domaine Arnaud Ente presents this Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts 1996, a Chardonnay born on clay-limestone soils. Aged in barrels, it reveals notes of hazelnut, lime and a chalky minerality. Its palate, both taut and silky, pairs ideally with oysters and lobster.
Nestled in the heart of Meursault, this family estate embodies exacting standards and faithfulness to the Burgundian terroir, where each cuvée reveals the purity of Chardonnay.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, cradle of the great white wines of Burgundy, where the Premiers Crus express a chalky minerality and a saline tension.
- Winemaking: Precise barrel ageing, respect for natural balances, yielding wines that are both lively and silky, marked by a discreet elegance.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Arnaud Ente Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts 1996
To the eye: Golden robe with green highlights, of a dense and luminous texture, like a veil of silk over a chalky backdrop.
On the nose: Aromas of white flowers and candied citrus intertwine with notes of roasted hazelnut and acacia honey, lifted by a saline touch reminiscent of sea spray.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a stony minerality, leading to a long, saline finish where yellow fruits and gentle spices intertwine.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to fully release its complexity.
