The Ramonet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Canet 2018, from the calcareous hillsides of Burgundy, is an exceptional Chardonnay. Lively freshness, buttery notes and chalky minerality combine with elegance. Ideal with oysters or cream-sauced poultry, it can be kept for 10 to 15 years.
Domaine Ramonet
Heir to a family expertise dating back to the 1920s, Domaine Ramonet embodies the excellence of the great white wines of Burgundy, rooted at the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet.
- Terroir: clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, where the Premiers Crus of Puligny-Montrachet reveal a chalky minerality and rare elegance.
- Vinification: a precise and respectful approach, combining Burgundian tradition and mastery of fermentation for cuvées of remarkable purity.
Tasting notes for Domaine Ramonet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Canet 2018
To the eye: a golden robe with green highlights, of a silky clarity and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: aromas of white flowers and fresh citrus (lime, grapefruit), evolving towards notes of flint, acacia honey and a saline touch characteristic of the great calcareous terroirs.
On the palate: an unctuous and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long and saline finish marked by a persistent elegance.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a white Burgundy wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2018
A generous and balanced vintage, where the maturity of the grapes is allied with a mineral freshness, the hallmark of the great white wines of Burgundy.
- Aging potential: to be stored for 10 to 15 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light to appreciate its evolution.
