The Belargus Anjou Ronceray 2023 Magnum from Domaine Belargus, a dry Chenin Blanc from the schistous soils of the Anjou. Aged in tanks, it offers notes of citrus and a chalky minerality – lively, silky and saline on the palate. To be enjoyed now or within 5 years, with grilled fish or goat's cheese.
Nestled in the heart of the Anjou, this biodynamic estate perpetuates a winemaking heritage where the terroir dictates every gesture.
- Terroir: Schist and chalky soils of the Anjou appellation, bathed by Loire breezes – a mineral and fresh signature.
- Winemaking: Precise barrel aging, respect for natural cycles – for taut, pure wines faithful to their origin.
In the glass: Golden robe with green highlights, of a silky and vibrant clarity.
On the nose: Aromas of Williams pear, acacia blossom, then candied citrus zest, lifted by a saline and chalky touch.
On the palate: Smooth yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a stony minerality; long, saline finish with a lingering hint of arbutus honey.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to reveal its complexity.
A vintage marked by early ripeness and preserved freshness, ideal for expressing the tension and purity of Chenin Blanc.
- Aging potential: To be enjoyed now or cellared for 5 to 8 years in a cool, humid cellar.
