From the schists of the Anjou Noir, the Belargus Anjou Quarts 2022 (Domaine Belargus) is a dry Chenin Blanc of great finesse. Notes of white fruits and flint, a taut and mineral palate. Perfect with seafood or cheese, to drink now or keep for 5–8 years.
Nestled in the heart of the Anjou Noir, this estate embodies the alliance between an exceptional terroir and a rigorous biodynamic viticulture, guided by the passion of Ivan Massonnat.
- Terroir : From the schist hillsides of Anjou, where Chenin Blanc draws its distinctive minerality and characteristic tension.
- Vinification : A precise, soil-respectful approach, to reveal the natural elegance and purity of the great Loire wines.
To the eye – A golden robe, of crystalline clarity, with silvery reflections that betray its youth and tension.
On the nose – First notes of candied citrus and crisp green apple, then hints of acacia blossom and flint, before a saline touch evoking the Loire valley breezes.
On the palate – A silky texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long, saline finish of tensioned elegance.
To be served between 10 and 12°C, in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to enhance its complexity.
A vintage marked by early ripeness and preserved freshness, offering a perfect balance between tension and aromatic richness.
- Ageing potential : To be kept 8 to 12 years in a cool, humid cellar, away from light.
