Domaine de la Bergerie de l’Arcade
Nestled in Pouzols, near Aniane, this family estate is run by brothers Pascal and Gilles Soula, who practice viticulture respectful of the Languedoc terroir.
- Terroir: The vines thrive in the *Les Pradels* lieu-dit in Aniane, where the Mediterranean climate shapes wines of great precision.
- Winemaking: A low-intervention approach and long aging in oak barrels preserve the fruit’s freshness and the soil’s mineral signature.

Tasting notes for Domaine de la Bergerie de l’Arcade Bergerie de L’Arcade 2022 Magnum
Appearance – deep red with violet highlights, dense and silky, suggesting a generous, well-structured palate.
On the nose – a dark, intense aromatic range of wild blackberry, blueberry and blackcurrant, lifted by smoky notes and a subtle saline touch.
On the palate – a velvety texture, fine, rounded tannins and lively acidity that brings tension, with chalky minerality on the remarkably long finish.
Serve at 17°C in a *Bordeaux*-style red wine glass after extended decanting to release its full complexity.
2022 vintage
A sunny, particularly hot vintage in which ripe grapes and preserved freshness create a rare balance of concentration and elegance.
- Aging potential: Cellar until 2047 and beyond under optimal conditions (a steady temperature, away from light).
