The Diamant Bleu 1971, a vintage champagne from Heidsieck & Co Monopole, is born on the chalky soils of Champagne. Made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, it captivates with its notes of dried fruits, brioche and honey. Its velvety texture and minerality make it an ideal wine to pair with pan-seared foie gras.
A historic house rooted in Épernay since 1785, Heidsieck & Co Monopole perpetuates a family legacy where patience sculpts excellence.
- Terroir : The chalky hillsides of Champagne, where Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier draw their distinctive minerality.
- Vinification : An extended aging in the cellar, for cuvées where time refines complexity without haste.
Tasting notes for Heidsieck & Co Monopole Monopole Diamant Bleu 1971
To the eye – A golden robe with amber highlights, dense and luminous, where the bubbles, fine and persistent, dance with understated elegance.
On the nose – First aromas of roasted hazelnut and golden brioche, followed by a touch of acacia honey, then deeper notes of white truffle and forest mushroom, all lifted by a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate – A silky and enveloping texture, carried by a lively and precise acidity, where the chalky minerality stretches into a long, saline finish, leaving an impression of purity and harmonious tension.
Serve between 10 and 12°C, in a champagne flute to preserve the finesse of the bubbles.
