A. Bergère Extra Brut Les Peignottes 2019, Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs from the Côte des Blancs, expresses the minerality of its chalky terroirs. Nose of lemon, mirabelle and iodine, toasted brioche. Taut palate, fine bubbles and mentholated finish. Ideal with oysters or fish, to enjoy through 2030.
A family house rooted in the Côte des Blancs since 1949, A. Bergère cultivates with precision a winemaking heritage passed down over four generations.
- Terroir: 45 hectares of vines in Grand Cru, where the chalky soils of the Côte des Blancs sculpt the mineral elegance of the Chardonnays.
- Vinification: a plot-by-plot approach and respect for the fruit, for champagnes where the tension and purity of the terroir express themselves without artifice.
Tasting notes for the wine A. Bergère Extra Brut Les Peignottes 2019
To the eye: a pale gold robe with green highlights, crossed by a stream of fine, persistent bubbles with a silky and airy texture.
On the nose: aromas of fresh yellow lemon and ripe mirabelle plum intertwine with notes of iodine and toasted brioche, lifted by a saline touch and a discreet hint of ginger.
On the palate: a lively and precise attack, where the chalky tension of the Chardonnay Grand Cru unfolds into a dense and saline texture, carried by dynamic bubbles and a mineral, long and mentholated finish.
Serving temperature: 8-10°C – Tulip champagne glass to concentrate the aromas.
