The Château L'Évangile 1996, born on the gravelly soils of Pomerol, blends Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Its aromas of dark fruits, prunes and black tea precede a structured palate with silky tannins and chalky minerality. Enjoyable from today alongside red meats or aged cheeses.

Tasting notes for Château L'Évangile 1996
To the eye: A deep ruby robe with purple hues, of silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: A generous bouquet blending wild blackberry, candied black cherry, a hint of black tea and a subtle touch of graphite, carried by a mineral freshness.
On the palate: An unctuous and fleshy texture, supported by a lively acidity and tannins still present but well-integrated, giving way to a long, saline finish marked by notes of dark fruits and soft spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to reveal its full complexity.
