The Meursault Rouge 2021 from Domaine Coche-Dury, crafted from Pinot Noir on clay-limestone soils, combines precision and elegance. Vinified for 15 to 22 months in barrels, it reveals cherry and spices over a chalky minerality. Lively and silky, its palate pairs beautifully with red meats or game. To be cellared for 3 to 5 years.
Domaine Coche-Dury
Nestled in the heart of Meursault, this family estate has embodied Burgundian exigence for nearly a century. A pursuit of purity where every gesture honors the terroir.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, the cradle of great Pinot Noir, where minerality engages in a dialogue with finesse.
- Vinification: Careful destemming, maceration on lees and aging in barrels for a precise and vibrant expression of the grape variety.
Tasting notes for Domaine Coche-Dury Meursault Rouge 2021
To the eye: A ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and luminous texture, like liquid velvet.
On the nose: Aromas of tangy red cherry and wild blackberry, followed by notes of gentle spices and a saline touch reminiscent of the damp undergrowth of Burgundy.
On the palate: A lively and taut attack, where chalky minerality embraces an elegant acidity, leading to a long and saline finish, carried by a refined tension.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2021
A vintage marked by vibrant freshness, where the balance between ripeness and acidity gives birth to wines of great precision.
- Aging potential: 8 to 12 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light).
