Richebourg 1994, Grand Cru from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, crafted from biodynamic Pinot Noir on limestone soils. Aromas of dark fruits, leather and musk, with a balanced structure and chalky minerality. Silky tannins and a persistent finish. Perfect with game or aged cheese. Cellar until 2035.
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti
Nestled at the heart of Vosne-Romanée, this legendary estate has embodied Burgundian excellence for centuries, combining family heritage with viticultural precision.
- Terroir: The limestone-clay soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of the most coveted Grand Crus, where each plot expresses a unique minerality.
- Vinification: A biodynamic approach, respectful of the Pinot Noir grape, yielding wines of remarkable purity and tension.
Tasting notes for Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Richebourg 1994
In the glass: A deep red robe with garnet highlights, of silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, wild blackberry, damp undergrowth and liquorice, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of musk.
On the palate: A velvety texture, lively acidity and chalky minerality that extend into a long, elegant finish, carried by tannins that are still firm yet well integrated.
Serve at 16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 1994
A vintage marked by generous ripeness and a firm tannic structure, ideal for lovers of age-worthy wines.
- Aging potential: 20 to 30 years under optimal conditions (cool cellar, away from light and vibrations).
