This Grands Échezeaux 1989 from the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, a Grand Cru from Burgundy, is born on clay-limestone soils. Pinot Noir aged in barrels, it captivates with its notes of cherry, spice and truffle, a silky texture and a mineral finish. Perfect with game or a mature cheese.

Tasting notes for the wine Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Grands Échezeaux 1989
To the eye: Garnet robe with tiled reflections, a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, faded rose, damp undergrowth and black truffle, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of liquorice.
On the palate: Velvety texture, lively acidity and melted tannins, carried by a chalky minerality and a finish of bewitching length.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 1989
A generous vintage, marked by a perfect balance between maturity and freshness, ideal for wines intended for ageing.
- Ageing potential: 20 to 30 additional years, to be stored in a cellar at a stable temperature (12-14°C) and controlled humidity (70-75%).
