The Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Hauts-Doix 2021 from Domaine Robert Groffier Père & Fils, from limestone soils, reveals aromas of red fruits and spices. Its silky and mineral palate, aged in oak barrels, can be enjoyed through 2032 with poultry or a truffle risotto.
Domaine Robert Groffier Père & Fils
A family estate rooted in the hillsides of Chambolle-Musigny, where the Burgundian heritage is passed down with exacting standards.
- Terroir: limestone and stony soils of the Côte de Nuits, cradle of the great Pinot Noirs, shaping wines of precise minerality and rare elegance.
- Winemaking: manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentation and aging in French oak barrels to reveal the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Robert Groffier Père & Fils Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Hauts-Doix 2021
To the eye: a brilliant ruby red robe, of a silky and luminous texture, heralding a substance that is both dense and airy.
On the nose: aromas of Morello cherry and fresh raspberry intertwine with notes of violet and liquorice, before a saline and chalky touch comes to underline the depth of the terroir.
On the palate: a lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality, while silky tannins envelop the palate for a long and saline finish, marked by an elegant persistence.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Burgundy glass to bring out its full complexity.
Vintage 2021
A vintage marked by vibrant freshness, where the balance between ripeness and mineral tension is expressed with rare precision.
- Aging potential: 8 to 10 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (12–14°C, controlled humidity).
