An artisanal estate rooted in the slopes of Pupillin, where biodynamics and respect for Jura grape varieties shape wines of rare authenticity.
- Terroir: The plots, nestled in the Arbois Pupillin appellation, lie on multicolored marls—red, green and gray—that give the wines their distinctive minerality and characteristic tension.
- Winemaking: A natural approach in which semi-carbonic maceration preserves the freshness of Ploussard, producing vibrant, unembellished cuvées true to their origins.
Tasting notes for Renaud Bruyère & Adeline Houillon Arbois Pupillin Ploussard En Aspis 2020
Appearance: A light red color, slightly hazy, with a silky texture and transparency that reveal its natural winemaking and delicate grape variety.
On the nose: An airy bouquet mingling fresh red fruit—wild strawberry and redcurrant—with deeper notes of licorice and blood orange, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of black tea.
On the palate: A lively, precise opening, carried by vibrant acidity and chalky minerality, leads to a long, elegant finish with lingering grapefruit and tart-fruit aromas.
Serving temperature: 12–14°C, in a medium-sized red wine glass to appreciate its full purity.
