This Saint-Aubin 1er Cru 2022 from Domaine Hubert Lamy, from Pinot Noir planted in 1960, expresses a unique clay-limestone terroir. Vinified with whole clusters and aged 24 months in barrels, it offers a mineral and fruity palate, ideal to pair with game or cheeses until 2030.
Heir to a family viticultural tradition since 1640, this Burgundian estate embodies the alliance between respect for the terroir and artisanal precision.
- Terroir : The vines take root in the limestone hillsides of Saint-Aubin, where the stony and clay soils shape wines of vibrant minerality.
- Winemaking : An organic approach and extended aging in used barrels preserve the purity of the Pinot Noir, for cuvées of taut elegance.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Hubert Lamy Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière chez Edouard Vieilles Vignes 2022
In the glass – A ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky density and crystalline clarity, like the glint of a precious stone in the light.
On the nose – First, aromas of black cherry and fresh raspberry, followed by a touch of violet and liquorice, before a subtle chalky note emerges to underline the terroir's salinity.
On the palate – The texture is velvety, carried by a lively acidity and a limestone minerality that stretches into a long and precise finish, where gentle spices and ripe fruits intertwine.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to unlock its full complexity.
Vintage 2022
A generous vintage in fruit and structure, where the summer heat was tempered by cool nights, preserving freshness and balance.
- Aging potential : To be enjoyed now for its brilliant fruitiness, or patiently cellared for 5 to 8 years in a cool, humid cellar to allow its mineral nuances to blossom.
