From Domaine Jamet, the Côte-Rôtie Côte Brune 2008 is a Syrah from the schist soils of the Côte Brune. Aged in oak barrels, it offers aromas of smoke, black olive and liquorice, a silky texture and a mineral finish. Perfect until 2030, it pairs beautifully with meats and aged cheeses.
Nestled in Ampuis, this family estate has embodied the soul of Côte-Rôtie for generations, where Syrah flourishes on steep hillsides.
- Terroir : Brown schist soils of the Côte Brune, steep and arid slopes of the northern Rhône, imparting a distinctive minerality and a taut elegance to the wines.
- Vinification : Aged in oak barrels to preserve the purity of the fruit, with an artisanal touch that pays homage to the grape variety and the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Jamet Côte Rôtie Côte Brune 2008
- Appearance : Garnet red robe with brick-red highlights, dense and silky, revealing precise maturity and a well-defined structure.
- On the nose : Aromas of wild blackberry and wilted violet, followed by deeper notes of liquorice and black olive, lifted by a saline touch and a discreet smokiness.
- On the palate : Velvety yet taut texture, driven by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long finish where gentle spices and candied black fruits intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2008

- Ageing potential : To be enjoyed until 2030, provided it is stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
