The Jamet Côte-Rôtie Côte Brune 2003, from the schist soils of Côte Brune, is a Syrah aged 24 months in barrels. Powerful and elegant, it offers aromas of blackberry, pepper and violet, with a velvety texture and vibrant minerality. Perfect with roasted lamb or truffles.
Domaine Jamet
A family estate rooted in the steep slopes of Ampuis, where Syrah has flourished for generations.
- Terroir: Slate schist soils of the Côte Brune, at the heart of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, shaping wines of deep minerality and rare elegance.
- Vinification: Whole-cluster harvest, patient aging in barrels to reveal the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the spices.
Tasting notes for Domaine Jamet Côte Rôtie Côte Brune 2003
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with brick-red reflections, of a silky texture and chalky density.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh violet, wild blackberry and blackcurrant, followed by a hint of liquorice and a subtle mineral salinity.
On the palate: Powerful and velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and mineral tension, with a long and spicy finish.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Burgundy-style red wine glass to bring out its full complexity.

A vintage marked by intense heat, yielding wines of remarkable concentration and early maturity.
- Aging potential: 15 to 20 years under cool and stable cellar conditions, away from light.
