Savagnin Les Vignes de mon Père 2003, from Côtes du Jura, is a white wine aged under a veil of yeast. Its dried-fruit and spice aromas meet a saline, lingering palate. This 2003 vintage pairs with chicken with morels or aged Comté and can be cellared for many years.

Tasting notes for Domaine Jean-François Ganevat Côtes du Jura Savagnin Les Vignes de mon Père 2003
Appearance – Deep, luminous gold hints at the density gained through patient aging under a veil of yeast, with an almost silky texture.
On the nose – Fresh aromas of walnut and toasted almond give way to deeper notes of curry and dried fruit, lifted by a saline, mineral touch that marks the great Savagnins of the Jura.
On the palate – A full, structured opening, driven by lively acidity and chalky minerality, leads to a remarkably long, saline finish.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a large white wine glass to release its full complexity.
2003 vintage
A vintage marked by intense heat, where power and concentration meet surprising freshness, typical of the Jura’s great wines aged under a veil of yeast.
- Aging potential: Already remarkable, this wine can continue to develop gracefully for several decades if stored under optimal conditions, at a stable temperature and away from light.
