The Chablis 1er Cru Les Vaillons 2024, a cuvée from Domaine Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin, reveals aromas of orange zest and white flowers. Mineral and silky on the palate, it can be enjoyed now or cellared for 5 to 8 years. Ideal with oysters and fish.
A family estate rooted in the terroir of Chablis for more than four centuries, where tradition meets a constant pursuit of precision.
- Terroir: Portlandian and Kimmeridgian soils, limestone pebbles – the very essence of Chablis, between minerality and elegance.
- Vinification: Carefully controlled barrel aging, respect for the fruit and a balance between tension and silkiness.
Tasting notes for Domaine Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin Chablis 1er Cru Les Vaillons 2024
In the eye: Robe of a pale gold with green highlights, limpid and of an almost crystalline texture, heralding a lively and precise palate.
On the nose: Aromas of candied orange zest, white flowers (hawthorn, honeysuckle), followed by a touch of fine brioche and a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate: A silky attack, crunchy acidity carrying a vibrant fruit, deep minerality and a long finish marked by saline tension and remarkable purity.
Serve between 11 and 12°C in a white Burgundy glass to reveal all its complexity.

An early and generous vintage, where sunshine and the natural protection of Les Vaillons preserved freshness and balance.
- Aging potential: 8 to 10 years, to be stored in a cool place (10–12°C) away from light.
