The Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume 2023, from Domaine Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin, expresses the chalky minerality of the Kimmeridgian soils of Fourchaume. This dry white, aged in tanks and barrels, reveals notes of white flowers and citrus, with a taut and saline palate. Ideal with seafood or fresh cheeses, to be kept for 4 to 8 years.
A family estate rooted in the heart of Chablis, where thirteen generations of winegrowers have shaped the soul of these calcareous terroirs.
- Terroir: 26 hectares of vines spread across the Kimmeridgian soils of Chablis, where marine fossils impart a unique minerality to the wines.
- Winemaking: a subtle blend of tanks and barrels to preserve the freshness of the Chardonnay while enriching its complexity.
