The Jérôme Bretaudeau Statera 2024, a dry red wine from the Loire, reveals the gabbro and quartz soils of Gétigné. This biodynamic Pinot Noir, aged 14 months in barrels, captivates with its taut minerality and freshness. Perfect with game or cheeses, to be savored from 2026.
Nestled in Gétigné, in the Nantes region, this family estate embodies the boldness and precision of an underrated terroir, guided by the passion of Jérôme Bretaudeau.
- Terroir: Gabbro, granite, and quartz soils on the Loire hillsides, where biodynamics reveals a unique minerality and vibrant freshness.
- Winemaking: Natural methods – indigenous yeasts, aging in barrels – for wines of remarkable purity and tension.
Tasting notes for Domaine de Bellevue Statera 2024
To the eye: A garnet red robe of silky density, where light dances on chalky reflections, already betraying the terroir's minerality.
On the nose: First notes of fresh morello cherry and wild raspberry, followed by a hint of violet and soft licorice, before a subtle salinity comes to balance the whole.
On the palate: A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a mineral tension that stretches into a long and precise finish, where gentle spices and flint intertwine.
Serve at 16–17°C in a Burgundy-style red wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2024
A vintage marked by slow and balanced ripening, where cool nights preserved the tension and purity of the Pinot Noir.
- Aging potential: To be savored from 2026, with a peak between 2029 and 2034, to be kept in a cool place away from light.
