This Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 1er Cru by Larmandier-Bernier, made from Chardonnay from the villages of Vertus, Avize, Oger and Cramant, captivates with its minerality and notes of citrus and honey. Fresh and precise, it pairs with oysters or fish and can be kept for 3 to 5 years.
A family estate rooted at the heart of the Côte des Blancs, Larmandier-Bernier has perpetuated a viticultural heritage since the 18th century, combining respect for the terroir and biological innovation.
- Terroir : Premier Cru-classified vineyards on chalky soils of Vertus, Oger, Avize and Cramant, where the Chardonnay draws its legendary minerality.
- Winemaking : Biological method and solera for extra brut champagnes, precise and vibrant, where freshness engages with the complexity of reserve wines.
Tasting notes for Larmandier-Bernier 1er Cru Longitude Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut
- On the eye : Pale golden robe with green highlights, of silky clarity and a fine and persistent effervescence, like a lace of bubbles on a chalky backdrop.
- On the nose : First lively aromas of lime and tangy apple, followed by a touch of fresh ginger, then a honeyed and brioche depth, all lifted by a subtle mineral salinity.
- On the palate : A texture that is both creamy and taut, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality that stretches into a long and saline finish, where notes of tarte Tatin and a hint of fresh almond mingle.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a champagne flute or a white wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
