Founded in Jonquières in 2018, this estate combines exceptional Languedoc terroir with a decidedly modern approach to viticulture.
- Terroir: 5 hectares of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah on clay-limestone soils, shaped by the Mediterranean climate and sea breezes—a mineral, fruity signature.
- Winemaking: An organic, low-intervention approach in which precise cellar work reveals the authenticity of the grape variety and vintage.
Tasting notes for Domaine Maxime Renaudin Carignan 2021
Appearance – A dense, luminous garnet-red color with violet highlights, suggesting generous body and appealing tension.
On the nose – Aromas of wild blackberry and black cherry mingle with notes of licorice and black pepper, lifted by a mineral touch and a hint of smoke reminiscent of the surrounding garrigue.
On the palate – A silky, fleshy texture, carried by lively acidity and chalky minerality, leads to a fresh, persistent finish.
Serve at 16°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
