A family estate rooted in Jonquières, Mas Jullien has embodied a commitment to authentic Languedoc wine since 1985, with each cuvée revealing the soul of a preserved terroir.
- Terroir: Limestone scree and deep marl soils, at elevations of 150 to 400 meters, under a Mediterranean climate moderated by altitude—a setting for wines with vibrant minerality.
- Winemaking: Controlled yields, hand harvesting and aging on lees in demi-muids produce white wines of remarkable purity and tension.
Tasting notes for Mas Jullien Blanc 2023
- Appearance: A pale yellow color with green highlights and silky clarity, suggesting a texture that is both rich and precise.
- Nose: Williams pear and fresh quince aromas open into a delicate range of citrus zest, acacia blossom and a saline touch, underpinned by chalky minerality.
- Palate: A round, generous opening, with fleshy white fruit (apple, grapefruit) unfolding in a velvety texture, balanced by lively acidity and a long, lingering saline finish.
Serve at 10–12 °C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass, decanting young bottles for half an hour.
2023 vintage
A vintage marked by harmonious ripeness, with freshness and concentration combining to create a white wine of remarkable mineral tension.
- Aging potential: Keep until 2038 under optimal conditions, at a stable temperature and away from light.
