The Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru 2022 from Domaine Michel Niellon, a Burgundy Chardonnay, is born on chalky soils. Crafted from old vines, it reveals aromas of apple, peach and quince, aged in barrels (40% new). Silky and mineral palate, persistent finish. To enjoy from 2030 onwards with shellfish or rich dishes.
A family estate rooted in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, where respect for the terroir has guided every gesture for generations.
- Terroir: Chalky and limestone soils of the Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru appellation, in Burgundy, imparting a distinctive minerality and elegant tension to the Chardonnay.
- Vinification: Barrel fermentation with indigenous yeasts, for a pure expression and a silky structure, without artifice.
- To the eye: A pale yellow robe with lemony highlights, of crystalline clarity and an unctuous texture.
- On the nose: Aromas of ripe apple, white peach and quince, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of acacia blossom, before opening onto a chalky minerality.
- On the palate: A dense and silky attack, carried by a lively acidity that balances the richness of the fruit, while a saline and persistent finish reveals the full precision of the terroir.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to enhance its complexity.
A vintage marked by heat, where cool nights and the estate's expertise preserved the tension and elegance of the Chevalier-Montrachet.
- Aging potential: To be kept until 2038 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
