The Michel Niellon Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jean 2024 expresses the minerality of the clay-limestone soils of Chassagne. Aged in barrels (25% new), this Chardonnay marries peach, quince and spices with a silky and saline palate. Perfect from 2028 with lobster or poultry.
A family estate rooted at the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, where Burgundian tradition is passed down with exacting standards.
- Terroir: clay-limestone hillside soils, shaped by time, which lend the wines their chalky minerality and elegance.
- Winemaking: gentle pressing, fermentation in barrels (25% new) and precise aging to preserve the purity of the Chardonnay.
To the eye: a golden robe with green highlights, of a silky clarity and a promising density.
On the nose: aromas of nectarine and white peach blossom into notes of ripe quince, lifted by a hint of smoke and a saline touch reminiscent of Burgundian limestone.
On the palate: an ample and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and saline finish.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal all its precision.
A vintage marked by a balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration meet in harmony.
- Aging potential: To be kept until 2044 under optimal conditions (cool and humid cellar).
