Château La Mission Haut-Brion
A legendary estate rooted in the gravels of Pessac-Léognan, where generations of family exigence have shaped wines of rare precision.
- Terroir : 25 hectares of gravelly and clay-limestone soils on the banks of the Garonne, conferring a distinctive minerality and structured elegance to the wines.
- Vinification : A meticulous blend of Bordeaux grape varieties, aged in new oak barrels for a harmonious balance between power and finesse.
Tasting notes for Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2011
- Appearance : A deep ruby robe with violet highlights, dense and luminous, heralding a generous and silky texture.
- On the nose : An intense bouquet blending juicy black cherry, wild blackberry, notes of blonde tobacco and a spiced touch of black pepper, lifted by a subtle chalky salinity.
- On the palate : The attack is broad and velvety, carried by fleshy tannins and a lively acidity that guides a creamy texture toward a long finish, where aromas of violet and licorice unfold, supported by a persistent minerality.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its complexity.

A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where cool nights preserved the brightness of the aromas and the tension of the tannins.
