Tasting notes for Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2022
- To the eye : Deep red robe with garnet highlights, of a velvety density and crystalline brilliance.
- On the nose : Aromas of wild blackberry and fresh blackcurrant, followed by notes of cedar, blonde tobacco and a saline touch recalling the gravel of the terroir.
- On the palate : Silky attack, precise tannins and a lively acidity that carries a chalky minerality, leading to a long and saline finish, marked by a taut elegance.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2022
A vintage marked by concentration and freshness, where the small berries yielded a dense and balanced substance.
- Aging potential : 20 to 30 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled hygrometry).
