Tasting notes for Château Haut-Brion Haut-Brion 1956
To the eye: A garnet red robe with tawny reflections, of a velvety texture and chalky density, betraying its age with understated elegance.
On the nose: Aromas of aged leather, woodland mushrooms, blonde tobacco and candied black cherry, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of mineral graphite.
On the palate: A silky attack, lively and precise acidity, a delicate yet persistent structure, carried by a long, saline finish where sweet spices and woodland notes intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its complexity.

A vintage marked by early ripeness and rare concentration, offering today a unique expression of this exceptional terroir.
- Aging potential: Although already at its peak, this wine can continue to improve for 5 to 10 years under optimal storage conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
