The Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes 2003, from the limestone hillsides of Burgundy, is a Pinot Noir aged in barrels. Notes of cherry, violet and fine spices, with a silky and mineral palate. Ideal until 2025, paired with poultry or creamy cheeses.
A family estate rooted in the Côte de Nuits, where the elegance of Pinot Noir expresses itself with rare precision.
- Terroir: the limestone and marl soils of Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny, the cradle of Burgundy's grand crus.
- Vinification: cuvées aged with patience, favouring the finesse and purity of the fruit.
Tasting notes for Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes 2003
To the eye – a garnet-red robe with tawny highlights, of a silky density, slightly veiled by time.
On the nose – aromas of candied black cherry, dried rose, damp undergrowth and a hint of liquorice, lifted by a chalky minerality and a touch of truffle.
On the palate – a velvety yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a discreet salinity, with a long and precise finish where gentle spices and melted tannins intertwine.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2003
A vintage marked by early heat, yielding full-bodied and generous wines while preserving the characteristic elegance of Chambolle-Musigny.
- Ageing potential: best enjoyed between 2010 and 2025, stored away from light and temperature fluctuations.
