The Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2014, from the gravelly soils of the Côte de Nuits, is a Pinot Noir aged 18 months in oak barrels. Notes of red fruits, flowers and spices. A silky, broad and mineral palate. Perfect for cellaring, it pairs beautifully with roast duck or a cheese board.
A family estate rooted in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, where the winemaking heritage is passed down with rigor and passion.
- Terroir: Stony and gravelly soils of the Burgundy Grand Crus, shaping wines of mineral precision and rare elegance.
- Vinification: Traditional methods combining cold maceration and oak barrel aging, for cuvées that are both powerful and silky.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2014
To the eye – A clear garnet robe, of crystalline transparency, where light dances with an almost silky texture.
On the nose – An airy bouquet of wildflowers, black cherry and wild blackberry, lifted by notes of undergrowth and a saline touch, like a breath of wind over the hillsides.
On the palate – A broad and velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long, taut finish where gentle spices and ripe fruits intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
