Tasting notes for Château Palmer 2004
- To the eye : A deep garnet red robe of silky density, already hinting at the ripeness and concentration of the vintage.
- On the nose : A generous bouquet unfolds in successive layers – wild blackberries, fresh violets, then deeper accents of black truffle, cedar and a saline touch, like a sea breeze over the gravels.
- On the palate : The texture is velvety, almost unctuous, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality that gives the wine a remarkable tension. The finish, long and precise, leaves lingering notes of blonde tobacco and candied dark fruits.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.
