Tasting notes for Château Palmer 1988
- To the eye: A garnet red robe with tawny reflections, dense and slightly veiled by time, revealing an unctuous texture.
- On the nose: An evolved bouquet in which dried rose, patinated cedar, blonde tobacco and supple leather intertwine, lifted by notes of candied prune and a saline touch of black truffle.
- On the palate: A silky attack, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long finish where melted tannins and soft spices respond to each other with elegance.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its complex aromas.
