Tasting notes for Château Palmer 2017 Double Magnum
To the eye – A deep purple robe with garnet reflections, of silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose – A bouquet where aromas of wild blackberry, fresh violet, aged cedar and a hint of graphite intertwine, all underscored by a subtle mineral salinity.
On the palate – A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky tension, unfolding notes of blackcurrant, liquorice and soft spices, leading to a long and precise finish.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
