Tasting notes for Château Palmer 1988
To the eye – A garnet red robe with brick-tiled highlights, dense and silky, revealing a harmonious maturity.
On the nose – First notes of blackcurrant and black cherry, followed by wafts of cedar, blond tobacco and a saline touch reminiscent of damp undergrowth.
On the palate – A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretches into a long and spiced finish, where clove and fresh mint intertwine.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to unlock its full complexity.
