Tasting notes for Château Palmer 2018
To the eye: a deep red robe with garnet reflections, dense and silky, heralding a generous substance and beautiful ripeness.
On the nose: an aromatic bouquet where notes of wild blackberry, candied blackcurrant, cedar and soft spices mingle, lifted by a mineral touch of graphite and a subtle iodine salinity.
On the palate: a velvety and fleshy texture, carried by a lively acidity and an elegant tension, where the fine and chalky tannins stretch into a long and persistent finish, marked by aromas of liquorice and blonde tobacco.
Serve between 16°C and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
