Champagne Pierre Brocard Saignée de la Côte Martinée Brut Nature, a Pinot Noir rosé from the Côte des Bar, is made by saignée. Aged for 24 months in stainless steel tanks, this Brut Nature reveals red fruit and spice aromas, with a robust, mineral palate. Perfect with richly seasoned dishes or aged cheeses.
A family estate rooted in Celles-sur-Ource, where time shapes terroir-driven champagnes true to the Côte des Bar.
- Terroir: Portlandian limestone soils and Kimmeridgian marls, between Champagne and Burgundy, produce wines with chalky minerality and rare tension.
- Winemaking: An artisanal, plot-by-plot, organic approach, with extended aging on the lees to reveal the purity of the Pinot Noir.
Tasting notes for Pierre Brocard Saignée de la Côte Martinée Brut Nature
Appearance – A rosé color of ruby intensity with orange highlights, both deep and luminous, like twilight over the slopes of the Côte des Bar.
On the nose – Fresh wild strawberry and tart raspberry give way to richer notes of jammy red fruit, violet and licorice, lifted by a peppery touch and a hint of salinity that echoes the limestone soils.
On the palate – A silky, vinous opening driven by lively acidity and a robust structure, with cinnamon, subtle vanilla and chalky minerality; the long, taut finish carries red fruit and spice with lasting elegance.
Serve between 8 and 10 °C in a champagne flute to concentrate its aromas or a white wine glass to appreciate its complexity.
