From the Les Suchots climat, the Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru 2022 from Domaine Prieuré Roch is a Pinot Noir of rare elegance. Nose of red fruits, tea and orange zest. Velvety palate, melted tannins and mineral finish. To be savored until 2030 with roasted meats or truffle risottos.
Domaine Prieuré Roch
Nestled in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, this family estate embodies the demands of an exceptional terroir, where each cuvée reflects the heritage of organic expertise and a pursuit of purity.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone soils of the Vosne-Romanée climats, where Premier Cru vineyards such as Les Suchots reveal a chalky minerality and rare elegance.
- Vinification : Controlled yields, precise aging and respect for the fruit – a philosophy in which Pinot Noir expresses itself without artifice.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Prieuré Roch Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots 2022
- To the eye : Deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture, like a liquid velvet capturing the light.
- On the nose : Aromas of fresh morello cherry, lightly smoked black tea leaves, blood orange zest, then a saline and mineral touch evoking the damp undergrowth of Burgundy.
- On the palate : A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality; the tannins, fine and powdery, envelop an elegant palate before a long, saline finish, where the echo of ripe red fruits lingers.
To be served between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its full aromatic complexity.
2022 Vintage
A vintage marked by generous ripeness and preserved freshness, where the Pinot Noir of Les Suchots reveals a harmony between density and finesse.
- Aging Potential : 10 to 15 years, to be stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
