The Savigny-lès-Beaune Dessus les Gollardes 2021 from Domaine Prieuré Roch is born on the chalky soils of Burgundy. This organic, oak-aged Pinot Noir offers aromas of red fruits and spices. Fresh and mineral, it pairs with red meats or cheeses for 5 to 8 years.
Domaine Prieuré Roch
Nestled in the heart of Burgundy, this family estate perpetuates a legacy of viticultural excellence, guided by respect for the terroir and traditional methods.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils on the hillsides of Savigny-lès-Beaune, where Pinot Noir flourishes in a temperate climate, shaping wines of mineral elegance.
- Winemaking: A natural and precise approach – spontaneous fermentations, aging in oak barrels – to reveal the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Prieuré Roch Savigny-lès-Beaune Dessus les Gollardes 2021
In the glass: A deep garnet red robe, of a silky and luminous texture, like liquid velvet with chalky highlights.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry and fresh raspberry intertwine with notes of violet and licorice, lifted by a saline touch and a stony minerality evoking the limestone soils of the plot.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, where the acidic tension carries silky tannins and a long finish, marked by a delicate salinity and a fruity persistence reminiscent of wild berries.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full expression.
Vintage 2021
A vintage marked by vibrant freshness, where the balance between ripeness and acidity confers on this wine an elegant structure and great precision.
- Aging potential: 8 to 12 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
