Trévallon 2022 Magnum, from the stony terroirs of the Alpilles, blends Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. After 24 months in large oak casks, it offers dark fruit notes and a silky, mineral palate. Made for aging; enjoy from 2027 with lamb or aged cheeses.
Nestled in the heart of the Alpilles since 1973, this family estate embodies a rare union of wild terroir and a demanding winemaking philosophy.
- Terroir: Stony clay-limestone soils of the Alpilles, from which Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah draw their chalky minerality and tension.
- Winemaking: Natural methods (no destemming, added yeast or sulfur) and aging in large oak casks preserve the purity of the juice.
Tasting notes for Domaine de Trévallon Trévallon 2022 Magnum
Appearance – Deep red with garnet highlights, dense and silky.
Nose – Wild blackberry and fresh blackcurrant aromas, lifted by notes of black pepper and thyme, open onto a saline hint of garrigue and a touch of fine leather.
Palate – Full yet taut, with lively acidity and chalky minerality. The long, lingering finish brings together dark fruit and sweet spices.
Serve at 17°C in a large red wine glass to release its full complexity.
2022 vintage
A sun-drenched vintage in which Provençal warmth concentrated the fruit without diminishing its freshness, offering a rare balance of power and elegance.
- Aging potential: Cellar until 2052 and beyond in a cool place (12–14°C), away from light.
