Trévallon 2022, a red IGP Alpilles wine, comes from limestone soils. A Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon blend aged in large oak casks, it offers notes of garrigue and black olives. The lively, silky palate reveals fine tannins and mineral freshness. Decant before serving with meat or chocolate; it can improve for thirty years.
Nestled in the heart of the Alpilles since 1973, this family estate passionately cultivates a distinctive limestone terroir where Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon thrive together.
- Terroir: Limestone and stony soils of the Alpilles, between Provence and the Mediterranean, shape wines of vibrant minerality and rare elegance.
- Winemaking: Aged in large oak casks for two years, fined with fresh egg white and left unfiltered to preserve the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine de Trévallon Trévallon 2022
Appearance – A deep red color with garnet highlights, a silky texture and chalky density that already hint at the wine’s complexity.
Nose – A bouquet of fresh sour cherry and raspberry aromas gives way to deeper notes of garrigue, black olives and cocoa, lifted by a peppery touch and subtle mineral salinity.
Palate – A direct, precise opening, with silky tannins and lively acidity balancing the richness of the fruit. Limestone minerality emerges on the finish, leaving an impression of elegant length and lasting freshness.
Serve at 17°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass, after an hour of aeration in a decanter to release its full potential.
