Trévallon 2001, from the limestone soils of the Alpilles, blends Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah in a red aged for two years in large casks. Notes of garrigue, black fruit and spice, with a structured, mineral palate. Perfect with game or cheese; enjoy without delay.
Nestled on the northern slopes of the Alpilles, this family estate, founded in 1973 by Éloi Dürrbach, upholds a winemaking heritage in which terroir guides every decision.
- Terroir: the stony limestone and clay soils of Bouches-du-Rhône, rich in geological history, shape wines of rare minerality and distinctive tension.
- Winemaking: a bold blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, patiently aged in large casks and barrels to reveal silky complexity and lasting elegance.
Tasting notes for Domaine de Trévallon Trévallon 2001
Appearance—deep, almost purple, with dense, velvety highlights that reveal generous ripeness and a pronounced structure.
On the nose—wild blackberry and blackcurrant aromas first, followed by thyme and rosemary, then opening into licorice and subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate—a full, silky texture, supported by lively acidity and persistent minerality, extending into a long, harmonious finish where sweet spices meet candied fruit.
Serve at 17–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to bring out its complexity.
