Trévallon 2022, a cuvée from Domaine de Trévallon, comes from the chalky soils of the Alpilles. This Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah red is fermented as whole clusters and aged for 24 months in large oak casks. Black fruit, minerality, and freshness make it a match for meats in sauce or game.
Nestled in the heart of the Alpilles, this family estate has embodied a commitment to exceptional terroir and an artisanal vision of wine for nearly half a century.
- Terroir: The vines thrive in the Trévallon valley, at the foot of the Alpilles’ limestone cliffs, where the Provençal climate and stony soils shape wines of rare intensity.
- Winemaking: A natural approach—whole clusters, native yeasts, and extended aging in large oak casks—to reveal the purity and structure of the grape varieties.
Tasting notes for Domaine de Trévallon Trévallon 2022
Appearance: Deep red with garnet highlights, dense and silky.
On the nose: Wild blackberry and fresh blackcurrant aromas mingle with notes of licorice, cedar, and a saline hint evocative of the Alpilles winds.
On the palate: A fleshy yet precise texture, lively acidity, and chalky minerality lead to a long, elegant finish where sweet spices mingle with black fruit.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to bring out its complexity.
2022 vintage
A vintage that combines generous fruit with a firm, well-defined tannic structure—the estate’s hallmark.
- Aging potential: Good aging potential; store in a cool cellar away from light.
