The Chateau produces 3 Red Bordeaux cuvees, including "Le Grand Vin de Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron" that is made from old vines growing on Butte Pichon's great terroir (historic plot of the Pichon Baron estate). The estate also produces 2 second wines made from other plots of the vineyard: "Les Tourelles de Longueville", from Saint-Anne plot (predominantly Merlot), and "Les Griffons de Pichon Baron", made from plots located near the Estuary (predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon). The Chateau's first wine is the most powerful and has a great ageing potential (15 to 30 years in the cellar). It can greatly improve over the years. This is an exceptional wine for ageing, a perfect example of Domaine Pichon Longueville Baron's wines in all their refinement and finesse. The two second wines will be sipped earlier as they can be enjoyed after 10 to 12 years in the cellar. Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron's quality standards make it one of the top estates of the Pauillac designation. In its best vintages (2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2003, 2001, 2000, 1996, 1990, 1989), Chateau Pichon Baron produced excellent bottles that were granted the best scores during En Primeur tastings.
