This family house, established in Beaune and founded in 1797, is particularly linked to the Côte de Beaune where 95% of its 50 hectares of vineyard are located (including 10 hectares in white Burgundy), notably with numerous plots around Aloxe-Corton. Now, the eleventh generation, in the person of Louis Fabrice Latour, presides over the management board of Domaine Latour.

The TOP winemakers of Burgundy

White Burgundy wines made from Chardonnay are harvested very mature, and generally offer a round, enveloping, and tangy character, where notes of yellow fruits and candied lemon dominate. Red Burgundy wines are vinified 100% destemmed and benefit from longer macerations. They have gained precision since 2010, while remaining far from trends and certain stylistic effects, but are approaching the high level of the estate's white wines. The estate offers nearly 22 Grands crus for sale and an impressive number of Burgundy 1^er crus and village appellations (over 80). The 2015 vintage is successful here with amplitude and a certain generosity like the Corton-Charlemagne 2015 of great intensity of body and bouquet and which will go far: powerful but very fine, and refined; or the Corton Grancey 2015 which has much refinement and aromatic precision, an elegant and deep body, subtle tannins, and a beautiful perfumed length (to keep 10 to 12 years). The Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru 2015 has a sensual mouth, of great delicacy, tinged with a touch of Havana that can tighten it currently. It needs time to patinate a bit. The Chambertin 2014 Grand Cru des Héritiers Latour is a 0.8 hectare parcel acquired over 120 years ago by the Latour family, which is located quite close to the grand cru Latricières-Chambertin. This exceptional terroir offers here a powerful and complex wine, which unfolds a mouth that is both ample, deep, refined, and elegant. It has exceptional aging potential. The wines of the Louis Latour estate (and those from the négociant), have a good overall level.
