All the Premiers Crus of the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy
The Premiers Crus of the Côte de Nuits bring together the best-situated climats of Burgundy's most prestigious red wine appellation, just below the twenty-four grands crus that have made this hillside legendary. Pinot Noir reigns here almost exclusively, producing wines with a ruby to garnet color, a bouquet of cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, violet and liquorice, evolving with age toward forest floor, leather and spice. The palate, denser and more structured than in the Côte de Beaune, combines fine tannins with remarkable length. Each climat bears its name on the label, from Clos Saint-Jacques in Gevrey-Chambertin to Les Amoureuses in Chambolle-Musigny.
