Domaine Rapet owns a beautiful vineyard heritage of 21.75 hectares, including 12 hectares of red Burgundy and 9.25 hectares of white Burgundy. The range of wines produced by Domaine Rapet is quite extensive and highly representative of the terroirs under cultivation. Vincent Rapet produces wines in a modern style, including 5 Premier Crus in AOC Pernand Vergelesses (Clos du Village, En Caradeux, Sous Frétille, Ile de Vergelesses, Les Vergelesses), and 3 Village wines (Pernand les Combottes, Devant les Cloux and Belles Filles). A Savigny les Beaune 1^er Cru Aux Fourneaux and 4 Beaune 1^er Crus (Bressandes, Cent Vignes, Clos du Roi, Grèves). Completing this range are an Aloxe Corton village wine and finally, the 3 Grand Crus that crown the Rapet range: the superb Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru in white, and in red: Corton Pougets Grand Cru, and Corton Grand Cru. The prices of the wines in the range remain reasonable given the high quality of Domaine Rapet's wines. To make good wines, you need beautiful grapes, and Vincent Rapet does everything possible to achieve this, such as sustainable farming practices to reduce phytosanitary treatments as much as possible (Domaine Rapet is certified High Environmental Value); vineyard work such as debudding, trellising, and leaf removal are carried out meticulously so that the grape clusters benefit optimally from sunlight. Vincent Rapet does not seek quantity but rather quality, and his whites are aged in 350-liter barrels to limit oxygen exchanges and allow the wines to better preserve their minerality. The Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru from Domaine Rapet possesses the evident character of its terroir: flint, due to its location on rock. With a beautiful golden-hued robe, this wine is full-bodied, heady and robust, yet very pure and precise with beautifully harmonious fruit. The finish extends into a delicate, fresh and saline length, and this wine provides genuine tasting pleasure. The fullness of such a great wine is reached after 7 to 10 years, better revealing its aromatic richness of honey and toasted almonds, accompanied by intense and exquisite mineral touches. The Corton Pougets Grand Cru from Rapet displays a deep purple color. Full-bodied, its bouquet expresses fruity notes of blueberry, redcurrant, kirsch, and floral notes like violet. Then, the wine evolves toward notes of undergrowth, sweet spices and licorice. Solid and opulent on the palate, Corton Pougets is powerful and full-bodied, structured, willingly demonstrative, with a fairly rich body, yet firm. It requires aging for 5 to 9 years to better develop.
